Architectural Kao Information

Artemide Kao collection has eight products of its own type. It is a collection of pendant or wall light structures. Modular system uses 54W and 24W T16 model of fluorescent lamps. You can use them to illuminate areas such as lobbies, meeting rooms, corridors and reception areas etc.

Design Specifications of the Collection

These products support indirect lighting. The design of all these eight products is by Bruno Houssin. Each of the structures is a composition of pre-wired and pre-assembled subunits. The linear or angular connector is of aluminum with white paint finish. The square part of the module (40x40mm) allows the emission of light downward or sideways. You can install four kits standard 2D and 3D individually or you can combine them to create sophisticated and spectacular settings.

Technical and Dimensional Information on Kao Products

For lighting purposes, it uses fluorescent bulb. It requires G5 housing. It uses two power sources that use either 24 or 54 W of power each. The Kao suspension Kit A is of three weight readings 12kg, 7.2kg and 9kg. The Kao suspension Kit B is 9kg in weight. Its depth is 1700mm, width 2200mm and height 1400mm. The fittings follow these technical dimensions T16 (G5) 2x24W + 2x54W. The weight of Kao suspension Kit C is 7.2kg. Its depth is 1700mm and its width is 3800mm. The Kao suspension Kit D has the weight of 7.2kg. Its depth is 350mm and its width is 3700mm. It also uses G5 housing. The Kao Ceiling Kit E has the weight of 14.4kg. Its height is 657mm and its width is 4724mm. The Kao Ceiling Kit F is includes of these readings 23kg, height 2147mm, width 4140mm The Kao Ceiling Kit G has a weight of 39kg. Its height is 3456mm and its width is 5205mm.

Safety Specifications of Kao

Most of the Artemide Kao products follow a set of standards and come with similar certifications. All of them comply with IP20 type of protection against solids greater than 12 mm form of protection (DIN 40050). They come under safety class I as they both have protective earthing. All of them stand an F against fire prevention classes. All comply with standards EN 60598 and come with its inspection seal.
