The philosophy of Louis Weisdorf is simple: create lamps that can be assembled in different ways. This design philosophy is evident in his Turbo pendant lamp created in 1967.
This designer has an impressive career behind him. He worked regularly with Danish design greats like Verner Panton and Poul Henningsen.
In the Multi-Lite lamp, he combined three basic geometric shapes to form a very unique design lamp. The two solid cylinders are surrounded by a circle and a two-part hemisphere. The halves can be moved and thus invite you to play and experiment with shape and light.
The two separate movable halves allows you to create many different lighting effects with the Multi-Lite Gubi. For example, rotate the two halves downwards and makes the Multi-Lite into an uplighter shining at the ceiling. Turn the two halves upwards and like a traditional lamp it shines straight down. The two shade parts can be positioned in the opposite direction or horizontally opposite to each other to provide indirect lighting.
So, you can turn and twist way to your hearts content (and this is literally true). The Gubi Multi-Lite provides you with a versatile designer pendant lamp that you can use for a multitude of lighting purposes. You can always adjust it according to your individual needs.
You are buying a true designer object with its remarkable appearance, two adjustable shade halves and broad light spectrum. This lamp will certainly attract attention. The timeless design is at home in a variety of living styles with art deco influences.
The Multi-Lite Gubi is available with a ring minimalist chrome or in a warmer version in brass. The two adjustable shade parts are available in different colours, but are always white on the inside.
The Multi-Lite impresses not only visually and technically with its exceptional design and is also made with an excellent quality just like all lamps from Gubi.
